What is the cost GPS ankle monitoring service?

  • There is a $50 (In Office) one-time setup and activation fee for devices, plus a daily monitoring fee of $10.
  • What is being monitored is location, but the court will determine the exclusions and stipulations of the monitoring.

  • Time schedule. (Curfew)

Who does the monitoring?

Our Monitoring Center does all the monitoring – open 24-hours per day, 7-days a week, even on holidays. Our trained Monitoring Officers are there for you around-the-clock!

Who gets notified if there is a violation problem?

Only “true” violations will be reported to the court agency. We will track and identify participants 24/7 to determine issues with compliance.

What happens if I go outside of my permitted zone or territory?

We will be notified immediately of the violation or breach and you will immediately have to clear the alert by contacting OnPoint Court Services or it will be reported as a violation of the agreement.

What happens if I damage the device?

The person that is wearing the device is fully responsible for the cost of any damages incurred or replacement of the device.

What happens if the participant attempts to disable or remove the device?

Any efforts to disable or remove the device will result in an immediate alert to the case manager and subsequently to the court.

Can I exercise with the device?

Yes you can exercise, it will not impact the functions of the device. We recommend that you clean the device after you are done with exercising.

Can I spray Tan?

No, you can definitely not spray tan.

House Arrest Monitoring

What is house arrest?

House arrest is a measure by which a person is confined by the authorities to their residence and is an alternative to being incarcerated for pre-trial or sentencing.

Do I need a phone line?

A standard or digital phone line, or home internet service is required for the systems base station. If you don’t have either, a wireless system can be provided at an added expense.

Can I work while I’m on house arrest?

This will be determined by the judge overseeing the case. Offenders who have regular, gainful employment may be permitted to go to work for specific, pre-determined hours as part of their court ordered house arrest.

Who determines my schedule and where I can and cannot go?

A judge will determine your schedule and the places you can, and can not go on a case by case basis.

What hours can I work while on House Arrest?

This will be determined by the judge overseeing the case.

I’ve been court-ordered to wear an Alcohol Monitoring Bracelet but I don’t know where to go to get started.

Is it safe to wear a monitoring bracelet during an MRI, X-Ray, or CT Scan?

No. If you have medical appointments requiring any of these procedures, contact your Service Provider to make arrangements to have the bracelet removed prior to the appointment. Your service provider may have additional requirements

Remote Breath Test Monitoring

What are the Enrollment and setup procedures for the remote breath test?

The devices are available for purchase only to an authorized service provider. If you have been court ordered to participate in a Remote Breath Test program, contact us and learn how to get started.

What are the testing procedures for the remote breath test?

  • Be in a well-lit area away from direct sunlight.
  • Remove hats, sunglasses/eye glasses, and any hair hanging over the face.
  • Stand or sit with your back against a wall, hold your head upright, and look directly forward.
  • Hold the device up to your mouth with the breath tube parallel to the floor.
  • Blow steady and consistent until you see STOP on the Remote Breath device.
  • Do NOT blow as hard as you possibly can when prompted, as this can cause bad test photos.

What is the “grace period” and what is it set to?

The Grace Period is the amount of time that you have to take a test once the test has been initiated. It can be programmed between 2 and 60 minutes. Your supervising agent will determine your allowed grace period.

What are “Courtesy Reminders” for the device?

Courtesy Reminders are messages that can be sent to your cell phone notifying you that you have a test coming up. Reminders can be sent to you right at the exact time of your test, 15 or 30 minutes prior to test. These are in addition to the alerts that are generated by the Remote Breath device. Only one reminder will be sent per testing period.

Is it possible to track a lost device?

No. If you lose your device you will be financially liable for a replacement.
